Sandra Lamonaca
Sandra is a photographer based in Melbourne. Sandra use photography as a means to express her thoughts through a visual outlet. Within her work she creates a narrative that explores interaction between the subject and their environment.
Sandra has completed a diploma in Photo Imaging at Melbourne Polytechnic. She was awarded Photo Book of the year 2016 for her series Anna.
She is currently working on a project about children and how they play and use their imagination in todays world. By using nature as her inspiration to create a narrative of stories she shows how we can look within ourselves to find our own creativity.
Sandra’s recent achievements include – Semi-Finalist in the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize, Finalist in the William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize, Finalist in National Portrait Prize 2016 and Winner in Australian Photography Awards.
